pix 51: fancy hole test it seems to stand; its sewings fidget ever so slightly right and left; its pointed feet form an altar that is almost ceremonial, and the floral ends of its embellishments gather as if decorating a home-sewn sackcloth napkin, or a skirt for a christmas tree. these embroideries and pintucks rise to a washer, like a wedding sheet, a hole test. on the other hand, why not look through, with one's eye, not testing, but asking, what's on the other side in the dark?
